Safety tips for pedestriansWith more and more people using walking and cycling paths throughout Queensland, it is important to keep in mind that all users have legitimate rights on certain types of paths - but with those rights come personal responsibilities. In Queensland, cyclists are allowed to ride on footpaths unless prohibitied by signs, but they must give way to pedestrians.

BikewaysBrisbane City Council has created many bikeways and paths throughout Brisbane. These paths also create an alternate route for cyclists in the South Bank area who are not cycling for recreational purposes.
