About the Corporation

We will promote a distinctive Queensland style of design advocating sustainable and responsible development with a community focus (Foresight).

The valuable parcel of land that forms South Bank is owned by the State Government of Queensland.

Since its formation in 1989, the South Bank Corporation has managed the development of the South Bank precinct under the South Bank Corporation Act

Its role is to plan and facilitate the development and management of the precinct as a world-class leisure, business, residential and educational hub.

Led by the Chief Executive Officer, Malcolm Snow, the Corporation reports to the Queensland Department of the Premier and Cabinet, and to a State Government appointed Board that meets monthly.

Strong community leaders in the fields of business, arts, construction, finance and design form the South Bank Corporation Board, an important body in ensuring the Corporation's role as a place maker and place manager.

South Bank Corporation has adopted strong mission and vision statements that guide the development of the precinct.
