Grey Street Boulevard Project

As inner-city Brisbane booms, South Bank's Grey Street is recognised as a place where arts, theatre, education, business and residential living intertwine.

Running from the William Jolly Bridge to the Queensland College of Art, Grey Street's position will be strengthened as South Bank Corporation continues its innovative development, infrastructure and public space improvements along the street.

Revitalisation of Grey Street

Through the Grey Street Boulevard Project, Grey Street aims to be recognised as Brisbane's best street.

Currently, South Bank has achieved national and international recognition for its uniqueness, environment and design. Attracting more than 11million people to the precinct annually, South Bank is considered Brisbane's icon.

The revitalisation of Grey Street continues this reputation. It will be one of the city's major sub-tropical boulevards, and will rise to prominence as a demonstration project in the Brisbane City Council City Centre Master Plan.

The Project will actively position and promote South Bank as a unique urban experience, complementing its current parkland experience.

Focusing on Grey Street's urban design, retail, marketing and promotion, stakeholder relations, place activation and maintenance opportunities, the project aims to activate, position and promote Grey Street as an integral part of South Bank's unique urban experience.

Getting There

Getting to Grey Street is easy, with rail, bus and Brisbane River City Cat and ferry terminals in the South Bank precinct. For those driving, a state-of-the-art parkeing guidance system enables underground and above ground car parking for more than 3000 cars.

Residents and visitors who like to be active can take advantage of pedestrian and cycle paths linking the CBD to South Bank via the Goodwill and Victoria Bridges.
