South Bank Corporation is currently evaluating Expression of Interest submissions for the redevelopment of South Bank's riverside boardwalk at the southern end of the Parklands. The proposed mixed-use development has an estimated project value of approximately $35 million and will create more public space and provide a new southern entry for South Bank visitors.
The Corporation's concept scheme has been developed in response to two rounds of extensive community consultation that were undertaken in 2004 and 2005. The scheme addresses the community's feedback on improved public space, uses, safety, accessibility and connectivity and height.
